(1) Regurlar grade gasoline is progected to average for 2008 $2.83 per gallon.
(2) Propane is projected to average  in 2007 $2.13 per gallon and $2.20 in 2008.
(3) Natural gas is projected to average $7.21 per mcf for 2007 and $7.89 for $7.89 per mcf for 2008.
(4) Heating oil is projected to average $2.88 per gallon during winter season compared to $2.48 per gallon last winter.
(5) Electricity totalcomsumption is expected to grow by 2.2 percent this year and 2.3 percent in 2008
.

Example: Propane $2.20 per gallon 100 gallon tank, total $220.00, 500 gallon tank, total $1,100 per tank.

So why let the fuel company make that much profit?

Answer.

(1) The best chose is a heat-pump added to your gas or oil furnace. The more expensive chose but over time will save you more money.
(2) 90% or higher gas furnace. Example: 70% gas furnace mean 30% is going up the vent pipe.
10 years or older gas furnace 70% is probable no more then 60% so 40% is going up the vent pipe.
New 90% gas furnace 10% is going out a pvc vent.
(3) High efficient oil furnace.
The government is giving up to $200 rebate on some high efficient appliances.
